Machine Writing is a generative visual system built in Python that translates the dynamics of handwriting—rhythm, direction, pause, and variation—into repeatable visual rules. The project produces families of writing-like forms that do not encode semantic meaning, but preserve the structural cues that make writing recognizable.

Working within the logic of typographic systems, the project explores an alternative to their usual mechanical appearance. Machine Writing asks how writing can be abstracted into a system without losing its contingent, expressive, and embodied qualities.
